Accessibility

Everyone who runs a business should be able to read this site, use the forms and reach me, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

1.The standard I build to

This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most accessibility work in the US is measured against.

2.What that means on this site

  • Text and buttons meet the minimum color contrast ratios, including the coral accents.
  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, shows clearly where you are as you tab through it, and has a "Skip to content" link.
  • Every form field has a label, and errors tell you what to fix and move you to it.
  • Images that carry meaning have written descriptions. Decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
  • Pages respond to your device's reduced motion setting and resize cleanly up to 200 percent zoom and down to phone width.

3.Where it may fall short

The work samples are images of decks, websites and campaigns. Each one has a description, but some of the detail inside them, like the small print on a deck page, isn't available as text. If you'd like a description of any piece in more depth, ask and I'll send one.

4.If something doesn't work for you

Email me and tell me what page you were on and what got in the way. I'll reply within two business days, and I'll get you the information or a way to reach me that works for you while I fix it.
