Terms of use

The short version: use the site, take what's useful, don't copy my work, and know that a project starts with its own written agreement, not with a form.

These terms apply to nikkiedeal.com, run by Nikkie Deal in California. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use it.

1.What's on this site

Everything here, including the checklist, is general information about marketing, websites, AI and operations. It's written to be useful, but it isn't legal, tax or financial advice, and it can't account for the specifics of your business. Use your own judgment, and talk to a qualified professional for anything with legal or financial weight.

2.Who owns the work

The writing, photos, design and logo on this site belong to me. The work samples belong to me or to the clients they were made for, and they're shown with permission. Some samples were made with AI tools, and they're labeled that way.

You're welcome to share a link to any page, and to quote a line or two with credit. Please don't copy pages, images or design for your own site, train an AI model on them, or present them as your work.

3.The free checklist

The "Five places to look first" checklist is free for use in your own business, and you're welcome to pass it along to a colleague. Please don't sell it, repackage it, or remove my name from it.

4.Client words and results

The quotes on this site are from real clients, used with their permission, and they describe their own projects. Every business is different, so results vary and nothing here is a promise of a particular outcome.

5.Getting in touch isn't a contract

Sending the contact form or an email doesn't make you a client and doesn't commit either of us to anything. When we decide to work together, the scope, timeline, fees and terms go into a separate written agreement, and that agreement is what governs the project.

6.Links to other sites

Some links go to sites I don't run, like LinkedIn and Instagram. I'm not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

7.The site as it is

I work to keep the site accurate and running, but I provide it as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available, error-free or up to date. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for losses that come from using the site or relying on its free content. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

8.California law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute about the site will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California.

9.Changes

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page is the one that applies.
